Staff Recognition: Beyond the Paycheck

Teachers reach the top of the career ladder the first day they step into the classroom. They do not receive profit sharing or bonuses―motivators in other career fields. What motivates educators is recognition and appreciation from colleagues, administrators, etc. for a job well done. People want to work where their skills are appreciated and when they think you are working on their behalf, they will do their best. This high energy session focuses on low-cost ways to show recognition and activities that can be implemented by administrators and colleagues to make a school a positive learning community.
